Ambrado™ Introduces New Product Line of Transmission Encoder/Decoder Systems

DALLAS (June 30, 2010) – Ambrado, Inc., a global provider of HD/SD media processing solutions, today announced a full range product line based on Ambrado’s HC Series encoders and decoders equipped with new Instant Option Upgrade (IOU) technology.  Base systems, starting at only $14,000, can now be instantly upgraded in the field to match the features and performance of our most advanced models.

IOU makes it easy to upgrade encoder and decoder systems only when new functionality is needed. Upgrades take as little as two minutes and can be purchased from any Ambrado Authorized Reseller.

Version 2.0 of the HC Series lets you selectively enable only the features you need.  For example, a broadcaster wanting to upgrade from SD to HD can purchase the Ambrado HD-capable system but defer the cost of HD until he has all other system components installed and ready to go live.
